Frequently asked questions

How are these powders used?

Neem and rose petal powder are mixed with water or a suitable natural base into a face or body pack. Vettiver powder is mixed into a bathing or body-care base. Avarampoo flowers are boiled in water, and the cooled, strained water is mixed with gram flour or another base.

Why is avarampoo sold whole instead of powdered?

The traditional method boils the whole flowers in water, so they are supplied dried and unground for exactly that preparation.

Do I need to patch test?

Yes. For any external use, patch test before applying more widely, avoid contact with the eyes, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Are these the same as the hair care powders?

No. Skin Care covers face, body and bathing preparations. Powders for hair washes and hair packs — shikakai, reetha, bhringraj and hibiscus — are in Hair Care.
